An alternative viewing option for enjoying 2D content, a simulated curved screen would potentially enable all models of Cinera to provide a similar curved viewing experience as the Sony HMZ3 headset did.
Providing a CINERAMA mode.

I don't know how difficult a curved screen effect is to simulate, or whether it can be added as a firmware update-enabled feature (similar to how the zoom screen functionality was added) but it can create a very pleasing, naturalistic and immersive effect that can enhance 2D video experiences, and be particularly popular with cinephiles.
It would also offer another unique feature that is lacking in a lot of the competing products.

It is clear that the consumer audio-video industry recognises the benefits of a curved screen experience, as curved screen variants have appeared in TV/projector screen/computer monitor/cinema screen products, and while in many cases consumers might opt for a flat screen option if it is a choice of one or the other, I believe they would enthusiastically welcome a software-based option that could be switched on or off, depending on the application.
Although I haven't personally had the opportunity to try it myself, I believe one of the key selling points of the Royole Moon headset was its curved screen.
